Enter a plan with clear units
Choose a currency, enter the number of people and the number of ski days, then supply the listed categories.
| Input | Basis to use |
|---|---|
| Lift access | Per person, per ski day |
| Rental equipment | Per person, per ski day |
| Accommodation | Whole party, whole trip |
| Food | Whole party, whole trip |
| Travel | Whole party, whole trip |
Use the same currency throughout. Selecting a different currency changes the unit label; it does not convert the amounts. Include any applicable charges in your own figures because the calculator does not add unlisted fees.
A blank field means missing information, not an amount you do not expect to spend. Explicitly mark a category not needed, or enter your own zero amount, before calculating a complete total. No resort is inferred to be free from those inputs.
Read the estimate for what it is
The total covers only the categories supplied. It is your planning estimate, not a quote, booking or statement of the resort’s current charges. Check ticket conditions, dates, availability and currency independently.
The method assumes the counted people have the same daily lift and rental amounts and the same number of ski days. If they do not, calculate compatible ski subgroups separately and avoid duplicating shared accommodation, food or travel. A subgroup result that omits shared costs is not a complete group budget.
How the calculation works
The method is defined for this tool, not inferred from resort statistics:
- Trip total = (daily lift amount + daily rental amount) × people × ski days + whole-trip accommodation + whole-trip food + whole-trip travel.
- Per person = trip total ÷ people.
- Per person per ski day = trip total ÷ (people × ski days).
Accommodation, food and travel are trip totals and are not multiplied again. The day count is ski days, not an assumed number of nights. The breakdown should show how every category contributed, and the currency should remain visible beside each output.
Use the result to compare equivalent plans
Collect amounts for a real itinerary. Check what is already included, especially where a lesson includes access or equipment. Compare alternatives with the same party, dates and category scope; a smaller subtotal is not automatically a less expensive complete trip.
Then read the budget planning guide, the relevant resort guide and lift-ticket checklist. They explain the questions the arithmetic cannot answer.
Does the calculator supply resort prices?
No. All amounts come from you, and there is no market-price database or automatic resort-price import.
Can I mix currencies?
Not within a calculation. Convert the inputs yourself on a consistent basis before entering them.
Does selecting a resort fill in a budget?
No. A resort name may label the plan, but it must not add or imply an amount.
Implementation limits
People and ski days must be positive whole numbers. Amounts must be non-negative, with no more than two decimal places. The calculator rejects entries or combined totals beyond its supported arithmetic bounds; it does not produce a partial total.
