About skiresorts.app
A ski trip is easier to assess when the useful detail is visible: where learning happens, which terrain a source describes, what access still needs checking and what the evidence cannot tell you.
A planning guide, not a booking engine
This site is written for people choosing a ski trip, with readers in the US, UK and Canada in mind. It starts with US resorts and an initial Alpine selection. It is not a live conditions service, travel agency or source of confirmed availability.
We focus on the fit between a mountain and a real group. A large trail network does not automatically help a nervous beginner. A family attraction does not automatically have an easy ski approach. Those are planning distinctions worth making before the journey.
What we contribute
The human element is observation and careful interpretation of sources, not a fictional day on the mountain. We compare named bases, distinguish local terrain from wider domains and point out when a source’s scope changes the practical answer.
Where useful, we show a calculation from disclosed inputs or published observations. We do not invent skiing experience, quotes, queues, budgets or snow-reliability ratings to make a page sound more certain.
Read the source method for the evidence rules and snow by month for an example of a historical record with its limitations kept visible.
Where the limits belong
A source is not a guarantee. Weather, open terrain and product conditions need checking for the actual visit. The guide leaves unknown evidence marked as unknown, and the calculator uses only your own figures.
If a claim affects a booking, safety or access decision, confirm it with the responsible operator or qualified local professional. The site does not replace current official information or on-mountain instructions.
